Dante Contreras is a Professor (Full) of the Department of Economics of the University of Chile. Between 2008 and 2010 he was one of the Executive Directors of the World Bank. He has also worked as a consultant for the PNUD and the Inter American Development Bank. His research focuses on the determinants of poverty and inequality, economics of education and on the impact evaluation of public policies.
