Javier González

Javier González D. is Doctoral Researcher at the Centre of Development Studies at the University of Cambridge. He is also President of The Cambridge Society for Social and Economic Development.

He has been Advisor of Education and Innovation Policy at the Ministry of Finance of Chile, Executive Secretary of the Ministers` Council for Advanced Human Capital Formation (Becas Chile Bicentennial System), Director of Studies at the National Commission for Scientific and Technological Research (CONICYT), researcher at the Ministry of Education of Chile, and Consultant to UNESCO.

Additionally, he has lectured several courses in Economics at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile (2002-2006), and was member of the Board of Directors of Fundación Chile (2006-2008).

Research Interests: 

Education Policy, Innovation Policy, Inequality and Social Stratification, Labour Market Discrimination, Political Philosophy, and Political Economy and Institutions.
