Sofia Donoso Knaudt is a political sociologist from the University of Oxford. She has conducted research for the Latin American Office of the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (ASDI), the United Nations Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC), and Chile’s National Institute of Youth and Ministry of Finance. Before starting her M.Phil. and Ph.D. in Development Studies at the University of Oxford, her research focused on successful development experiences of mid-size countries highly integrated to the world economy, which formed part of a joint project conducted by the Inter-American Development Bank and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Chile. She recently completed her PhD dissertation, titled "Reconstructing collective action in the neoliberal era: The emergence and political impact of social movements in Chile since 1990".
